How do customers pay a past-due balance?

If a customer's payment fails, leaving an unpaid balance on their account, all they need to do is update their credit card on file. Past due balances are paid automatically when your customer updates their credit card via the customer portal, or you update their card on file for their subscription through the subscription order record.
