Google Tag Manager Overview

Spiffy lets you easily integrate Google Tag Manager, giving you the ability incorporate a wide range of things, including Google features, like Analytics, to third-party applications, like chat/help windows!

We do the heavy lifting of automatically installing Google Tag Manager <Header> and <Body> code on all of your checkout pages, when you integrate Google Tag Manager with Spiffy, using your Tag Manager ID!

NOTE: If you are embedding Spiffy Checkouts on your website, you may want to still integrate Google Tag Manager with your website, if you are using it for 3rd party apps like Chat/Help apps, as well as Spiffy for analytics and order tracking.

To begin, you will want to set up a 'Workspace' in your Google Tag Manager for your Spiffy URL. (eg:

You can visit your Google Tag Manager 'Account' page at to get started

If you don't have an Account container set up yet, you will be able to add one here:

If you already have an Account container set up, Just click on the 'Container Name' to enter the workspace

Clicking on the 'Container Name' will take you into your 'Workspace', where you will set up your tags, and obtain your Google Tag Manager ID to integrate with Spiffy!

Copy your Google Tag Manager ID, You will need it for the next step of integrating with Spiffy.

Next, you will want to navigate to your Spiffy account dashboard, so that we can get Google Tag Manager integrated.

With your Google Tag Manager ID copied, navigate to your Spiffy account, click on the 'Profile' icon and select 'Integrations' and then select 'Google Tag Manager' from the integrations list:

Just paste your 'Google Tag Manager ID' that you have copied, into the field, and click ' Enable Google Tag Manager'

Once this is done, Spiffy will automatically install your Google Tag Manager <Header> and <Body> code onto all of your checkout pages, upsell pages, and Spiffy Thank-you pages.

Note: If you are using custom thank-you pages on your Spiffy checkouts, you will want to integrate Google Tag Manager with the site that your thank-you page is hosted on, as Spiffy won't have any control over those pages.

You are now ready to set up tags in Google Tag Manger! When you finish setting up a tag, Google provides the installation code for the <Header> and <Body> of your page, but you will be able to skip that step, because, as mentioned above, Spiffy automatically includes this code on every Checkout, when you have Google Tag Manager integrated!

You may need specific tags to fire on separate pages of your Checkout (eg: Main Checkout, Upsell Page, Spiffy Default Thank-You page) Here are the URLs for those pages.  (The portions of the URL in bold will need to be replaced with your Spiffy app name and specific checkout's URL/Checkout Name)
