Apple Pay Overview

IMPORTANT! Due to current limitations with Apple Pay, Spiffy only supports Apple Pay as a payment option on Spiffy hosted checkouts. Apple Pay is not compatible with embedded checkouts.

One of our biggest requested features was the ability for accepting payments via Apple Pay on Spiffy Checkouts. We are proud to announce that Spiffy Checkouts now support Apple Pay!

There is no additional setup needed to get started! All you need is to have your Stripe account connected to Spiffy!

When your customers visit your checkout via the Safari browser on an Apple device, they will see the option to pay using Apple Pay, if they have Apple Pay with a card on file set up on their device!

When Apple Pay is available on a checkout, your customer will see it as an additional payment option, similar to PayPal. When selected, the Apple Pay button will replace the 'Complete Checkout' button. When the Apple Pay button is clicked, your customer will see prompts from Apple Pay on their device to verify and select a card on file to use for their payment.

Currently, Spiffy ONLY uses Apple Pay for payment. We will not pull in or overwrite any field information on a checkout, when Apple Pay is used.

Here is a quick look at how the Apple Pay option will look on a checkout that is viewed in Safari from an Apple device:
